Chandigarh, March 5, 2013: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today sanctioned the ex-gratia grant of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of the kin of 13 children and a bus driver who had died in a tragic accident between a school bus and truck at Jalandhar-Nakodar road on Monday morning.
Likewise, Badal has also approved an aid of Rs 25,000 each for every injured student.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the file to this effect was cleared by the Chief Minister here today.
Badal had directed the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar to personally ensure that the grant was handed over to the bereaved families by Wednesday, added the spokesperson.
