Punjab asks all departments to send entries for national awards for e-governance

Chandigarh, July 23, 2014: The Punjab government has issued instructions to all departments to submit the details of the project to the Department of Governance Reforms for the nominations of National Awards for e-Governance.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Punjab government said that these details should reach the Governance Reforms Department, Chandigarh before 10th August, 2014 so that Committee could review the project details.
The spokesperson said that a Committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Punjab would review the project details before submitting them online to Government of India. He said that after the approval of the Chief Secretary nominations are needed to be submitted online or through e mail- [email protected] before 31stAugust, 2014.
The spokesperson further said that Government of India presents the National Awards for e-Governance every year during the National Conference on e-Governance. These awards are given to recognize and promote excellence in implementation of e Governance projects/initiatives. He said that for the year 2014- 15 the awards would be presented in 12 categories during the 18th National Conference scheduled in February 2015. // punjab news, india news,
