Punjab amends civil secretariat entry pass issuance policy

Chandigarh, June 19, 2014: The Punjab Government has amended the Civil Secretariat entry pass issuance Policy. A notification in this regard has been issued.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Punjab government said that all officials/employees/retirees working at the Punjab Civil Secretariat would be issued updated Smart Identity Cards. Besides that  officials/employees of Punjab government stationed in the field  would also be eligible for Smart Entry Passes. Category “A” officials would be issued Red Identity Cards, includes Chief Minister/Deputy Chief Minister/ Ministers/ CPS/Chief Secretary/ Financial Commissioner/ Principal Secretaries/ Secretaries and other officials of the same rank including Special Secretaries/ Additional Secretaries/ Joint Secretaries (IAS/PCS) and Heads of the Department (IAS/PCS). He also said that their equal ranked officials like Deputy Secretaries/ Under Secretaries/ Personal Secretaries/ Superintendents and those posted within the Civil Secretariat including DCFA, ACFA and Section Officers would be eligible for same card.
Blue Identity Cards would be issued to category “B” and “C” official, having   Personal Assistants/Senior Scale Stenos/Senior Assistants and Junior Assistants/Clerics/Junior Scale Stenos, Steno Typists/Restorer Attendants respectively, While Category “D” employees working at Punjab Civil Secretariat including Peons and other Group 4 Employees would be issued a Pink Identity Card.
Spokesman further stated that Category “A” officers would be issued Red Entry Passes, this category includes all District Head Officers including Deputy Commissioners/ Additional Deputy Commissioners/ SSP/ DDPO/ DDRD/ DPRO/ DIG/ Civil Surgeons/ IPS/ DSF/Chief Agricultural Officer/ District Attorney etc. as well as members of Zila Parishad and Block Samiti, Former Ministers/IPS/IFS etc.
He said that Blue Entry Pass would be issued to employees of Category “B” working at Punjab Civil Secretariat which includes Department of Hospitality, DIPR, UT Secretariat Maintenance Chandigarh, Punjab Cooperative Bank/Post Office/Dispensary. Green Entry Passes would be issued to employees remaining from these categories including Departments/Boards/Corporations/Universities and relatives of Ministers, Category “C” as well as “D” employees of Department of Hospitality, DIPR, UT Secretariat Maintenance Chandigarh and Punjab Cooperative Bank/Post Office/Dispensary.
Accredited members from Media based at Chandigarh would be issued Golden Entry Passes. Punjab Civil Secretariat Category “A” retirees would be issued Red Pensioner Identity Cards and Red Pensioner Entry Passes. Civil Secretariat Category “B”/ “C”/ “D” retirees would be issued Blue Pensioner Entry Passes.
He further added that Punjab Civil Secretariat Category “A” regular officers’ dependents would be issued Red Dependent Cards. Civil Secretariat Category “B” and “C” regular officers’ dependents would be issued Blue Dependent Cards and Category “D” regular employees’ dependents would be issued Pink Dependent Cards. Remaining retiree officers and officials’ dependents would be issued Purple Pensioner Dependent Cards.
He also said that workers who were outsourced/contract/daily wagers, employees of TCS, contract employees of NIC and non-official persons would be issued White Temporary Passes.
