PSPCL to provide better power supply during summer season: Sharma

Ludhiana, April 18, 2016: Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, Central Zone, Ludhiana will provide power supply in a better way in both the rural and urban areas in this summer season, said NK Sharma, Chief Engineers, PSPCL, Central Zone, Ludhiana, today.
Addressing the media persons, he added that the farmers would also get 8 hours power supply daily during this paddy season. He added that several steps were being taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Highlighting some of these measures, he told that a new 66 KV sub-station was being set up at Sarabha Nagar. He said the residents of the areas of Gurdev Nagar, Sarabha Nagar, Model Gram and Feroze Gandhi Market would be benefitted after commissioning of this new power sub-station.
He further told that outsourcing staff would be deputed for timely redressing complaints of the consumers from May 1, 2016 onwards. He revealed that nine vehicles would be put at disposal of this staff, the vehicles would be equipped with all the required equipments.
He said domestic power connections could not be availed after submitting application and ID proof, adding that this procedure had been simplified in the larger interests of the consumers.
