PROTEST: NRMU to intensify agitation

Ferozepur, November 26, 2012:  A gate rally was held by the members of Northern Railway Men’s Union (NRMU), Ferozepur infront of the office of the Divisional Rail Manager (DRM) under the leadership of Comrade Ramesh Thakur, in protest against the alleged highhandedness and dictatorship by the officers of the Railways.

Com Ramesh Thakur said, the funds for repair of seepage of roofs of railway quarters, roads, cleanliness is being wasted lavishly on the residential houses of officers and on irrelevant expenses. 

He further said, a memorandum to this effect was also given to DRM besides sitting on hunger strike and entering into a written agreement but DRM is bent upon giving the contract to some persons of his choice.  The union has also demanded to restore the equivalent surrendered posts.

In case the DRM, Ferozepur does not amend his attitude, the union will intensify the agitation, he warned.
