Ferozepur, December 13, 2012: The All India Postal Employees Union today staged protest in front of the office of Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Feozepur Cantt, to register their protest, against their genuine demands.
Jasbir Singh, president and Ashok Sharma, secretary said, the genuine demands of the postal employees should be accepted immediately.
They further said that in case their demands are not accepted by the department, they will intensify the agitation at all India level and the responsibility for the consequences will be that of the government.
Their demands included merger of 50 percent DA, regularisation of Gramin Dak Sewaks, constitute committee for 7th Pay Commission, increase the promotion quota, introduce pension scheme for employees joined in 2004 and in view of load of work, increase the bonus days of postal employees.
