Promote tree plantation for survival

Ludhiana, August 20, 2012: Society for Welfare of Education and Environment Protection  (SWEEP), an NGO, organised plantation drive in village Bilga, Sahnewal, Ludhiana to make aware people of nearby villages about importance of plants in their life.

The campaign was led by Janak Raj Aggarwal, President, Janak Raj and Brother Co by planting various types of ornamental trees, shrubs and fruit plants.

Speaking on the occasion, Sangita Aggarwal and Ankit Aggarwal encouraged the local residents to plant more and more trees in their surroundings to save the environment for coming generations.

Dr. Manisha Dubey, Secretary of the society said that they should celebrate their birthday, marriage anniversaries and other occasions by planting ornamental as well as forest  trees.

Dr.  RK Dubey,  Amarjit Singh and Durgesh Kumar were among those present.
