Chandigarh, May 03, 2017: Professor Emeritus Jitendra Mohan, Department of Psychology Panjab University Chandigarh India has been invited by Professor Gangyan Si, President of International Society of Sport Psychology to join him in President's Symposium to be held during 14th ISSP World Congress of Sport Psychology 2017 to be held from 10th to 14 the July 2017, to be held in Sevilla, SPAIN. Professor Jitendra Mohan is the Director of two symposia on Excellence, Mindfulness, Mental Training and Sports.
He is leading a team of distinguished Psychologists like Professor Lars-Eric Unestahl (Sweden). Professor Meena Sehgal P.U. India) Dr. Anuradha Solanky (SAI, New Delhi), Dr. Guneet Inderjit Kaur (Banglore) Dr. Akanksha Tripathi (MCM Chandigarh) Dr.Shruti Shouri (D.A.V. Chandigarh)and Ms.Zahra Jafari (Iran).
The 14th World Congress of Sport Psychology is the most representative and largest conference of Sport Psychologists Mental Trainers, Coaches, Athletes and Students. Professor Mohan has participated in earlier congresses held in Singapore (1989), Portugal (1993), Israel(1997)Greece ( 2006 and China (2013).
Professor Mohan was the Founder President of Sports Psychology Association of India, Vice- President of Asia South Pacific Association of Sport Psychology, Member Governing Council of International Society of Sport Psychology and President of
International Society of Mental Training. A special Issue of Indian Journal Of Psychology 2017, in memory of Late Professor Bola Ikulaya (Nigeria ) will also be released during the Congress. Another highlight will be a power point presentation of the
progress of CHART-CLTA endeavour. This program is being run for the underprivileged players at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association under the direction of Mr. Rajan Kashyap. The World congress is likely to host more than 500 delegates from all over
the world.
