Jalandhar, October 27, 2014: Prize Distribution Function and Inauguration Ceremony of Swami Dayanand Studies Centre was organised in Doaba College, Jalandhar today. Swami Sumedhanand Sarwati-MP Loksabha, Sikar Rajasthan graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was accorded a hearty welcome by Chander Mohan, President Arya Shiksha Mandal and College Managing Committee, Alok Sondhi- General Secretary, Principal Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman, staff and students. In the morning session the Inauguration Ceremony of Swami Dayanand Studies Centre was duly organized by holding Havan Yajna in which Chief Guest Swami Sumedhanand Saraswati, Alok Sondhi, Principal Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman, Prof. Som Nath Sharma-Coordinator Swami Dayanand Studies Centre and Staff offered their prayers for the bright future of the Institution.
In the afternoon session Prize Distribution function was organised in Virendra Auditorium. Presiding over the function Chander Mohan said, Swami Sumedhanand Sarswati is a multi faceted personality who has contributed a lot in the field of higher education.” Principal Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman formally welcomed the dignitaries. Chief Guest Swami Sumedhanand Sarswati said, “ The student should inculcate the qualities of moral values, self discipline, patriotism and dedication so as to bring glory to their institution state and country”. Chander Mohan, Alok Sondhi, and Principal Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman presented a silver plaque to the chief guest Swami Sumedhanand Sarswati.
On this occasion nearly 335 outstanding students of session 2013-14, 149 in academics, 59 ECA, 50 Sports, 46 NCC, 12 NSS, 20 Student Editors were felicitated with mementoes and certificates by Swami Sumedhan and Sarswati, Chander Mohan and Principal Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman. Leading Arya Samajis - Sh. Rajnit Arya, Rashmi Ghai, Ashwani Dogra, Chowdhary Rishi Pal Singh, Ravi Mittal, Varinder Sabharwal, Principal Dr. Atima Sharma graced the occasion along with staff and students.
