President CGC Jhanjeri meets former Australian PM to delegate study opportunities abroad
Mohali, November 20, 2019: Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President Chandigarh Group of Colleges accompanied by Dr.Jagvinder Singh Virk, Australian Industrialist met Tony Abbott, Former Prime Minister of Australia to delegate study opportunities abroad. During this meeting he shared information about huge possibility of a fruitful co-operation between the two countries for the benefit of students. Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott opined that students of India can take training and attend special courses during summer or winter programs and other vacation periods. Students could also be allowed for semester exchange or completion of a part of their degree in India & remaining in Australia, thereby getting the benefits of a dual degree. Mr. Abbott also discussed about jointly taking up of research and consultancy work by the teachers of both the countries. He explained various avenues for jobs in Australia for the students of India. President Dhaliwal said that these views of Mr. Abbott are highly useful .He further added that he could put in all efforts to implement these decisions in CGC, Jhanjeri, so that a large number of our students could go to Australia for their studies and to seek placement avenues there.
