Jalandhar, May 30, 2015: The Investiture Ceremony of Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar for the session 2015-16 was held under the stewardship of Principal Mrs Madhu Sharma on Friday.

The ceremony was solemn occasion where the newly elected Council Members were all prepared to don the month of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school.

The Chief Guest for the day was Mrs. Daljit Kaur, IRS – Assistant Commissioner, Central Excise & Service Tax, Division I & II Jalandhar.

The Investiture Ceremony began with a Prayer song followed by a Floral Welcome by the Principal. She apprised the parents and the guests of the achievements of the school.

Thereafter, the Prefectorial Board was pinned up with badges. Charanpreet Singh Minhas is chosen the Head Boy of the school; Sandeep Kaur Dosanjh was chosen the Head Girl of the school; The other Council Members comprise Senior and Junior of House Captains; Vice House Captains and prefects – Sports, Discpline, Cleanliness, CCA of the four Houses Beas, Saraswati, Satluj and Yamuna. The prefectorial Board marched smartly onto the stage to the beat of the school Band. The Chief Guest and the Principal presented newly elected Council Members with sashes and badges. The office bearers then pledged to work earuestly  and uphold the honour and glory of the Institution. The Head Boy, Head Girl and Senior House Captains, thereafter, shared their thoughts on taking this esteemed responsibility and spoke about their aims, aspirations and the ideals that they hold dear.

Adding a feather to the Ceremony, the Academic Achievers of Classes  VI to IX and XI for the session 2014-15 were adorned with the SCHOLAR’S BADGE.

The class representatives of classes III to XII for the current session (2015-16) were also adorned with the CR Badges.

The Chief Guest addressed the assemblage and spoke eloquently on leadership qualities. She also apprised students of the aims to be set very early in life and that nothing is impossible if one is focused and determined. Her inspiring speech an indelible mark on the audience.

The programme conducted with a formal Vote of Thanks. Classical Dance performance- Krishna Radhika Raas and the singing of the National Anthem.

It was a memorable occasion for the young leaders as they looked forward to a new, eventful and enriching academic year.
