Pray to Almighty for North Zone Youth Fest at PU

Punjab Finace Minister Manpreet Badal will inaugurate the Youth Fest
Chandigarh, December 26, 2018: Panjab University(PU), Chandigarh is organizing 34th North Zone Inter University Youth Festival, YUVOSTAV-2018 in collaboration with Association of Indian Universities(AIU) New Delhi from Dec 27-31, 2018. More than 1000 students from 34 Universities of the Northern Region of the country are participating in this festival. All 27 events of Literary, Music, Theatre, Dance and Fine Arts will be conducted during these five days, informed Dr Nirmal Jaura, organising Secretary of the festival, Director Youth Welfare, PU.
Prof. Karamjeet Singh, the Registrar, informed that the event started with the blessings of the Almighty with the kirtan and Ardaas which was held at University Gurudwara Sahib where Organisers, AIU Officials, PU Officials along with the participating students prayed to Almighty for the success of this festival. He also added that a cultural procession will be organized before the inaugural function in which the Universities will show culture of their respective States.
The organising secretary of the festival, Director Youth Welfare Dr Nirmal Jaura, informed that Sh. Manpreet Singh Badal, Hon’ble Finance & Planning Minister of Govt. of Punjab will be the Chief Guest of Inaugural Function on Dec 27, 2018.
A meeting of the Directors of the participating Universities along with AIU official Mr Sampson David, AIU observer Dr S K Sharma was organised, here today, to discuss various issues regarding the festival. The Registrar presided over the meeting while Dr Parvinder Singh Controller of Examination, Dr Nirmal Jaura, Dr A S Ahluwalia, Dr Parminder Singh, Director of Sports, Er. R. K. Rai, XEN, Dr Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare were present on the occasion. Dr S K Sharma had also convened the meeting with all the conveners of the event conduct committees for clarification of rules etc.
