Police commemoration Day being observed at Police Lines, Khanna.

Khanna, October 21, 2017: Police Commemoration Day was organised at Police Lines Khanna by Khanna District Police in which SSP Khanna NS Mahal was the chief guest.
SSP Mahal in his address stated that terrorism was controlled in state by sacrifices made by police personnel in the past. SSP stated that the problems of affected families will be heard all time on priority and will be redressed without any delay. He appealed all police officials to look after the families of martyrs when in need. During this function, members of almost all 36 affected families of martyrs’ police personnel of Khanna Police District were present and they were told to tell their problems by police officials.
SSP along with SP Balwinder Singh Bhikhi and SP RPS Sandhu heard the problems of families of police martyrs and SSP on the spot directed concerned police officials to readdress their problems. During function a guard of honour was presented to the martyrs and they were remembered with silence for two minutes. The members of affected families were honored and presented blankets by police officials and the all present remembered the sacrifices made by martyrs. SSP also appealed affected families to give applications for flats at Muskan Society Ludhiana that will be dispersed soon to needy families of martyrs.
SP Balwinder Singh Bhikhi in his address revealed the names of martyrs of Khanna Police District which had sacrificed their lives while fighting for the state and country. DSP Vikas Sabharwal, DSP Rashpal Singh Dhindsa and other concerned police officials and police personnel and family members of martyrs of the area were present at this time.
