Police to chalk out strategy to reduce road traffic accidents: SSP, Kangra
Dharamshala, July 6, 2018: A meeting held at SSP Office Kangra at Dharamshala under the chairmanship of Santosh Patial, SSP, Kangra, in which all SDPOs, SHOs and in-charge Police Posts participated. During meeting, old pending investigation cases were discussed and directions were issued to finalize these cases at the earliest. Further, it was directed to take proactive steps to prevent the incidents of theft and burglary. Patial said, “All concerned were directed to ensure daily checking of shops/dhabas, khokhas situated near educational institutions and all out efforts be made to apprehend persons involved in drug peddling. It was also directed to chalk out strategy to reduce road traffic accidents as well as to initiate stern action against violators of traffic rules.” SSP added that that It was also directed to make sincere efforts for the apprehension of proclaimed offenders (POs) as well as to trace out missing persons. All were directed to initiate prompt action to deal with the cases related to crime against women and children. In order to prevent the incidents of drowning, all concerned were directed to keep close vigil on the activities of tourists and they may be sensitized and advised that they should not go in the rivers for taking bath. They were also directed to erect precautionary boards at the river banks so as to prevent any untoward incident.
