PM condoles demise of Ram Jethmalani

New Delhi, September 8, 2019: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has condoled the demise of Ram Jethmalani, the legal veteran and a former union minister.
“In the passing away of Shri Ram Jethmalani Ji, India has lost an exceptional lawyer and iconic public figure who made rich contributions both in the Court and Parliament. He was witty, courageous and never shied away from boldly expressing himself on any subject.
One of the best aspects of Shri Ram Jethmalani Ji was the ability to speak his mind. And, he did so without any fear. During the dark days of the Emergency, his fortitude and fight for public liberties will be remembered. Helping the needy was an integral part of his persona.
I consider myself fortunate to have got numerous opportunities to interact with Shri Ram Jethmalani Ji. In these sad moments, my condolences to his family, friends and many admirers. He may not be here but his pioneering work will live on! Om Shanti”, the Prime Minister said.

HIMACHAL CM EXPRESSES GRIEF OVER DEMISE OF VETERAN LAWYER RAM JETHMALANI
Shimla, September 8, 2019: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has expressed deep condolences on passing away of veteran lawyer and former Union Law Minister Ram Jethmalani.
The Chief Minister said that Ram Jethmalani was the finest criminal lawyer of the country, who fought many high profile cases in the Supreme Court and other courts. He also remained Rajya Sabha member for many terms and contributed a lot in the Parliament as well.
Jai Ram Thakur prayed for the peace of the departed soul and has expressed his sympathies with the bereaved family members.
