Dharamshala, June 18, 2018: An anti ragging orientation workshop cum pledge ceremony was conducted in the auditorium of DRPG Medical College Tanda on Monday.
“There is an urgent need to banish the menace of ragging from educational establishments and DRPGMC Tanda needs to take the lead in it,” said Dr.Bhanu Awasthi, Principal DRPGMC Tanda. He also stressed the need to maintain DRPGMC Tanda a zero ragging campus. Faculty from DRPGMC spoke on the various aspects of ragging and made them aware regarding ragging menace, anti ragging regulations and the measures to prevent ragging at DRPGMC Kangra at Tanda.
Around 600 people comprising of medical faculty, nursing faculty, medical students, nursing students, paramedical students, paramedical staff, security staff, contract employees attended the workshop. Pledge was taken by all attending the workshop to make DRPGMC Tanda a zero ragging campus. This is in a series of various anti ragging activities being conducted at DRPGMC Kangra at Tanda. In addition, administrative staff including the Joint Director of the institution was also present. The state administration was represented by Pradhan, Sadarpur Panchayat and DSP Kangra.
