Jalandhar, July 27, 2016: On 25th July’ 2016 Punjab School Education Board, Zone 1, Volleyball Tournament was organised in Cambridge International School for Girls, Urban Estate Phase II. The tournament was conducted in the presence of Mr.Jaswinder (Zone 1 Head).
During the tournament students of Cambridge International School brought the house down with their feats in the game and bagged many medals. Team of Cambridge International School declared 1st in Under-17team, 2nd in under -19 team and 3rd in Under 14 team. Mr. A.S.Sikand ,coordinator, sports, Ms Harpreet duty – coordinator, sports and Mr. Anurag duty – coordinator, sports, were also present during the tournament to encourage the participants.
On the victory of the students, Mr. Ajay Bhatia(Chairman) and Mr. Deepak Bhatia(Vice Chairman) applauded the feat of students, who displayed their unmatched skill in the sport ,Mr. J.K.Kohli (Director) and Ms.Deepa Dogra ,Principal and Academic Head Learning Wings Education System, congratulated the go-getters and said the exemplary display of the team mates to be the source of inspiration for others to pursue their footsteps. She called attention to the fact that Cambridge school believes in inspiring students to excel equally in academics and co- curricular activities, which bears fruit as students show unparalleled upshot in the performance in the sports and academics both. She edified students to take up sports, which are important for success in all walks of life as well as sports are significant in building sportsmanship which helps students to understand that the real winners in sports are those who know how to persevere and to behave with dignity — whether they win or lose a game.
