Physics Workshop by Shiksha Rattan Dr Jaswinder Singh

Jalandhar, January 21, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar's PG Department of Physics organized an experimental workshop cum interaction by Shiksha Rattan Dr Jaswinder Singh, under DBT Star College Status Scheme. It is important to mention that Dr Singh is a National Awardee by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and President of India. His "Lab on Wheels'', the mobile car laboratory is becoming a fascination for the students around the state. Dr Singh demonstrated and simplified the complex Mathematics and Physics concepts with easy and interesting experiments. He laid emphasis on practical knowledge and also stressed on strength, weakness, opportunities and threats of our life, so that we can easily frame our goal. He also demonstrated the concept of charge using a charged balloon, paper bits and Teflon tape. He explained the concept of open and closed circuit, Archimedes principle, Boyle's Law, formation of waves, image formation and inversion. He also suggested many magical and precise methods to solve mathematical calculations. The workshop indeed turned out to be valuable and fruitful for all the aspiring students. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of department of Physics for holding such workshops. She also averred that such type of workshops go a long way in creating interest about the subject in young and vibrant minds so that the students can be motivated to explore all the aspects of the subject.
