Chandigarh, November 28, 2014: The Punjab Government has clarified that the physically challenged employees in Punjab could not seek job extension after superannuation. Notification in this regard has also been issued.
According to an official spokesperson of the finance department, it has been clarified that since the retirement age of the physically challenged employees (physically handicapped and blind) has already been enhanced up to 60 years, so now they can’t seek further job extension after getting superannuation. It is pertinent to mention that the Punjab Government has allowed other employees to seek job extension by 1 or 2 years after the age of superannuation.
