Photography exhibition organized to commemorate 550th birth anniversary Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Jalandhar, August 26, 2019: PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Doaba College Jalandhar organized photography exhibition to commemorate 550th Birth Anniversary Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Varinder Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He was accorded a hearty welcome by Principal Dr Naresh Kumar Dhiman, Dr Simran Sidhu, faculty and 150 students.
In his address, Varinder Sharma lauded the efforts of journalism students and department for organizing a meaningful photography exhibition on theme Guru Nanak and Nature.
Dr Simran Sidhu said that the journalism students of the department had gone especially to Sultanpur Lodhi to click photographs on the respective theme with great enthusiasm and fervour and out of the total 500 photographs clicked 360 photographs were short listed and displayed in the exhibition.
Earlier, a three day photography workshop was organized in the department which was conducted by Karamveer Sandhu.
As per the judgement of ace photographer Karamveer Sandhu, Cinematographers & Producers Lovedeep Singh and Arundeep Singh Teji Student Abha was declared first, Rahul and Divya second, Kaushal and Himanshu third and Gurpreet and Shabnam were given consolation prizes by DC Varinder Kumar Sharma, Principal Dr Naresh Kumar Dhiman and Dr Simran Sidhu.
