Cheque of Rs.5 lakh handed over to aggrieved family members as financial assistance
Kapurthala, April 29, 2018: The body of Yashwant Kumar Bobby, who was succumbed to his injuries in the violence that took place in Phagwara last evening, was cremated today with complete religious rituals in the cremation ground at Banga Road here.
The cremation was held in a complete peaceful manner.
On the occasion, tight security arrangements were made by the administration.
Meanwhile, Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner, Mohammed Taib and SSP Sandeep Sharma went to the house of the deceased to express their sympathies with the aggrieved family.
On the occasion, a cheque of Rs.5 lakh was handed over to the aggrieved family members as financial assistance. It was also announced to give job to a family member.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Taib said that the situation in Phagwara was completely normal and peaceful. He appealed to the people to maintain brotherhood and communal harmony and not to believe in any false rumors. He said that the administration is fully committed for the safety of the people and no mischief will be allowed to disturb the atmosphere. He thanked the residents of Phagwara for keeping peace.
