Phagwara, April 21, 2018: Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner, Mohammed Taib said that Phagwara currently has a peaceful atmosphere and no stone will be left unturned to maintain it. He said that the situation of law and order in the city has been constantly monitored by the civil and police administration through mutual coordination and no one will be allowed to disrupt it.
Deputy Commissioner, who has been staying at Phagwara for a week, said that strict vigil is being kept on the mischievous elements. He said that adequate security arrangements have been made to maintain peace and harmony in the city and various orders under Section 144 of the Cr.P.C are imposed.

Further, Mohammed Taib said that strict action would be taken against those who violated the prohibitory orders. He appealed to the residents of Phagwara not to allow any effort to create any provocation and to maintain mutual love and communal harmony.
Meanwhile, the parade and mock drill by police and paramilitary personnel was held today, during which the jawans demonstrated the skill of dealing with the emergency. Meanwhile, the jawans exhibited other methods of controlling the situation.

SSP Sandeep Sharma and other police officials on this occasion told the jawans the necessary points and gave necessary directions. During this exercise, he also assessed the equipment, weapons and instruments of the force.
To maintain peace and harmony in the city, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Taib and SSP Sandeep Sharma held meetings with civil and police officials today also, and they gave necessary directions to all the concerned.
