Ferozepur , September 27, 2012: Petrol Pump Dealers have threatened to work in one shift from 9 AM to 5 PM in case their commission is not increased in proportion to increase in prices of petrol and diesel.

S.P.Khera, executive member of the Punjab Petroleum Association said that the association  in its meeting held at Jalandhar, have decided to stop taking the supplies in Punjab from the depots of IOC, BPC and HPC located at Bahtinda, Sangrur, Jalandhar and Pathankot on two days on  Ist and 2nd October, to register their demands for increase of commission in proportion to the increase of percentage in prices of diesel and petrol. 

Khera, who is president of Punjab Petroleum Association, Ferozepur Unit further said, "The petroleum dealers in the Punjab State demand that the existing commission of Rs.1.48 on petrol and Rs.0.92 on diesel per litre should be increased in proportion to their investment on getting the supplies from the depots as the same has increased to Rs.5.48 per liter.

 

He also stated, "In the meeting of the sssociation it has also been decided that In case the demand of the Petroleum Association is not accepted by October 15, then 70,000 petrol pumps all over India will work in one shift only from 9 AM to 5 PM instead of three shifts, to save themselves from heavy expenditures on account of man-power, electricity and use of generator due to heavy power cuts".
