PETEX India, India’s largest Pet Care Industry annual event will kick off at Hitex tomorrow

Dog Show and Cat Show will be held Hyderabad, December 28, 2018: PETEX India, India’s largest Pet Care Industry annual event will kick off here in the city at Hitex on Saturday. The two day event will be inaugurated by Hari Chandana IAS, Zonal Commissioner of Hyderabad, GHMC. The two day event will conclude on Sunday evening. It will be jointly organised by HITEX and The Hyderabad Canine Club. This is the 3rd edition of PETEX INDIA. PETEX INDIA brings together pet care brands, pet care professionals and pet owners & enthusiasts under one roof to explore developments in the Indian pet care market. Blending B2B and B2C segments, the event creates a unique platform for national and international pet care brands to showcase their products, interact with customers, peers, veterinarians and experts from the industry, enhance brand awareness and build collaborations. Over 150 brands and exhibitors will showcase their products and services from food & nutrition, pharmaceuticals, grooming and many other segments of pet care industry to over 50,000 visitors. Concurrent events FCI-HyCan International Championship Dog Show and Cat Shows Hyderabad Cat Fanciers and The Feline Club of India will make PETEX INDIA’18 a complete pet care event catering to all segments of pet care. FCI-HyCan International Championship Dog Show (FCI-HyCan’18) is the official Fédération Cynologique Internationale (World Canine Organization) regulated international dog show organized by The Hyderabad Canine Club. Over 600 dogs of 60+ breeds will participate in competitions and championships adjudged by international judges. HyCan dog shows have been trendsetters in India since 1995 attracting participants from across the country. HCF Cat Show will have 100+ Cats on display and raises awareness about cat health and rearing. The Feline Club of India will host Cat’s Breed Registration Carnival. Pedigree Pawsome’18 will feature various free fun pet activities, workshops, pet-health check-up drives and counselling sessions. Competitions and entertaining activities will produce a visual treat for pet enthusiasts. Exotic birds, horses, aquatics and other pet animals will also be on display at the event. India is the fastest growing pet care market in the world, valued at $265 million (? 1700 million) in 2017 with projected annual growth of 13.9% to become a $430 million (? 2780 million) market by 2020. Growth is recorded in all categories including food, pharmaceuticals, grooming, toys and accessories while food market alone is projected to cross $310 million (? 2000 million) by 2020.
