PEDA conducts workshop cum exhibition on energy efficient building materials

Ludhiana, November 7, 2017: A one-day training cum exhibition programme on Punjab energy conservation building code was held today at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana.
The programme was organized by Punjab Energy Development Authority (PEDA) as per guidelines of BEE.
Dr. Harpal Singh, Principal Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College welcomed the chief guest. Er. Balkar Singh, AGM, PEDA, introduce the topic to the gathering in detail.
PEDA is organizing training programmes in the state of Punjab to impart training to newly passed Punjab energy conservation building code. Punjab is among first ten states in the country where this code is being implemented.
Mr Pradeep Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana inaugurated the exhibition of energy efficient appliances and the workshop by appraising the efforts of PEDA and IIA. Mr Aggarwal who is an engineer also explained in detail changing life with changing electric scenario in our country.
Ar. Sanjay Goel, Chairman IIA Punjab Chapter and Director Ludhiana Smart City Limited explained how energy efficiency is need of the hour through his detailed presentation. He explained how app. 52% total energy consumption by building can be minimized by constructing buildings as per code
Exhibition was attended by more than hundred Engineers, Architects, Interior Designers and officials from Saint Gobain, MGM Infra, Sham Tiles, GBCI, Lloyd Insulation, Crompton, Ishrae, L&T, Jaquar, Inter Solar.
