PCTE ORGANIZED ITS 11TH ANNUAL CONVOCATION

Ludhiana, December 21, 2018: PCTE Group of Institutes organized its 11th Annual Convocation function at PCTE Campus – II. Where around 500 graduates were awarded their degrees in various disciplines like MBA, MBA-IB, MCA, M Pharmacy, B Pharmacy, B.Sc Biotechnology, BBA, B.Com Prof., BCA, BHMCT and ATHM Keeping in mind the significant presence of the international students on campus, there was a representation of students from 52 countries including India with their respective flags. On the occasion (Dr.) Ajay K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University, was the Chief Guest & His Excellency Mr. Desire KOUMBA, Ambassador of Gabon to India, was the Guest of Honor.

The students were awarded trophies for their excellent performance, where Mr. Gautam Sikri, a student of the founder batch of 1999-2002 was rewarded as “The Best Alumni Award” for his outstanding professional and personal success. Ali Nahil, a student of Airline, Tourism and Hospitality, batch 2015-18 was awarded Wg.Cdr.H.S.Gill award for his overall excellent performance. He said, “I am happy to receive this prestigious award after completion of my course. He added by saying “It is a defining moment in every student's life giving his self-esteem a boost”

College colors awards were rewarded to the students for their excellent performance in the cultural events, where Shruti Sharma was awarded for her superb performance in Theatrical Events, Harleen Kaur for Dancing, Akshita Kapil for singing, Glorious Niyomwungere for Athletics, Rajwinder Singh for weight lifting, and Ahmed Abdul Muhsen for Literary. Tanya Johar, a student of BCA and now working with Infosys said that “Convocation is one of the most important day in a student’s life, the sensational feeling that one gets when he/she goes on the stage to receive the degree cannot be explained in words”. She added by saying that “The campus atmosphere was very festive, and it was amazing to celebrate this momentous day with our batch-mates and our family.”

The students and the audience were then enthralled by the rousing speech of the Chief Guest, (Dr.) Ajay K. Sharma where he congratulated the students and said that they should follow their dreams and should put their knowledge in best practical use. His Excellency Mr. Desire KOUMBA also congratulated the students and further wished them good luck for their future.

Dr. K.N.S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said he was glad that the graduation ceremony went off really well. He congratulated the graduates on the completion of their education, and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
