PCTE-IHM organises Cocktail/Mocktail Making Competition at Hospitality Olympics 2015

Students participate in Cocktail/Mocktail Making Competition at Hospitality Olympics 2015, organised by PCTE-IHM.

Ludhiana, March 23, 2015: PCTE Group of Institutes organised Cocktail/Mocktail Making Competition at Hospitality Olympics 2015 at campus. In the competition 9 teams from Amity, Noida; Punjab University, Chandigarh; Dr Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management Chandigarh; LPU, Jalandhar; Kurukshetra University; PAU, Ludhiana and Chitkara University, Chandigarh participated in the competition. They explored with exotic drinks like Dark Vodka, Green Coconut Vodka, Paanipuri Vodka shots, Screwdriver, Mohito, Bloody Mary and Out of the School.
Manoj, HR Manager Aveda Hotels; Ranveer Singh, F & B Director Radisson Hotels; Naveen, GM Brew Master; Rahul, Assistant F & B Director Hyatt; Preeti, HR Manager A Hotel and Sandeep, HR Manager Keys Hotel visited on the event as Judges and also to encouraged the students.
Rohan Malhotra and Deepika from Dr. Amberdkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh won First Position, Jitendra Dubey and Ankush Kaushal from Chitkara University stood second and Brinder Thakur and Anupam Chhabra from PAU, Ludhiana stood third in the competition.
Professors of Institutes of Hotel Management, PCTE Group of Institutes helped the students with their preparations. The entire event was held in the Advance Kitchen of the Hotel Management College. The mega event was organised to showcase the diverse drinks of world and it turned successful as huge participation was found.  
Prof. Anirban Gupta, Director-IHM said “We want to spread awareness about hospitality arts as a bright career; the demand of skilled bartenders is increasing day by day”. Gupta praised all the participants and was very happy with the efforts students made.
Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the team of IHM and said that Hotel management course is the most practical course. He further said that such events will definitely help the students in exploring the bar-tending art. Dr. Kang stressed that Hospitality is a growing sector and PCTE encourages such events to implement practical learning on campus.
