PCTE - IHM Organised Hospitality Olympics 2019

Ludhiana, February 19, 2019: PCTE Institute of Hotel Management organized a mega event called “Hospitality Olympics 2019”, which included various events like Young Master Chef Competition, Mock tail Competition“Lake of Liquids”, “Fold the Unfold”, Remember the Rose, The Dust Bunny Competition, The Globetrotter, and TRAYRATHON. Students from 10 colleges participated in the event which included colleges like Gulzar Group of Institutes, Chitkara University Lovely Professional University, CT University Shahpur, Graphic Era University, Dehradun, Innocent Heart Group of Institutes, Pyramid College. Mr. Abhishek Raizada, F&B Director, Park Plaza, Chef Sudhanshu, General Manager, Maharaja Grand, Chef Shibiraj, Executive Chef, Park Plaza were the honorable Chief Guests of the day. The overall winner of the entire event was Chitkara University. In Young Master Chef Competition 1st position was grabbed by Graphic Era University followed by Chitkara University and Gulzar Group of Institutes bagged the Third Position. In Mocktail Competition Chitkara University bagged the first position followed by Gulzar Group of Institutes bagging the second position and Lovely Professional University were the third position holder. In Globetrotter the entire event was won by Chitkara University. In Fold the Unfold Chitkara University won the First & Second position and Third Position was bagged by Graphic Era University. In The Dust Bunny Competition the First Position was bagged by CT University, Shahpur, Second Position was bagged by Gulzar Group of Institutes and Third Position was bagged by Graphic Era University Prof. Anirban Gupta, Dean, PCTE - IHM said “I am impressed to see the amount of creativity that today’s generation holds. he further praised the efforts made by the students from other colleges to come and to participate in the event and added that the main motive for conducting events like this enhances the skills of our students and give them practical exposure to what they study. Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the winners of the event and the IHM faculty along with the students for successfully hosting the event. He further added by saying that it isn’t about wining or loosing, but it’s about participating, learning and cherishing the everlasting memories that they have created during the event.
