PCTE Group of Institutes organized awareness session

Ludhiana, September 15, 2019: The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of PCTE Group of Institutes organized an awareness session for Childline Orphanage of SGB International Foundation, Dham Talwandi Khurd to create awareness about women health hygiene where 2 faculty members along with 10 students provided necessary information to around 20 girls.
In the session the girls were educated about menstruation and preventive measures about different touches, were the faculty along with the students also handled the queries of the girls. 900 free sanitary napkins sponsored by Sarab Kalyan Mission, Ludhiana were given to the young ladies.
Neha Srivastava, Assistant Professor, PCTE Group of Institutes said that the young ladies had various myths related to periods which they handled and provided essential information regarding the same and further added by saying that 50 Pieces of pen, pencil, eraser, sharpener, colours, colouring book, copy, pencil box were also donated to the girls.
Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said that living in a society its our social responsibility to educate people about various health related aspects and doing so would help us to contribute our bit in the society.
