PCTE Group of Institutes  celebrated the International Culinary Fest

Ludhiana,5th April 2019: PCTE Group of Institutes organized an International Culinary fest where the International students from different countries like Kenya, Ethiopia, Bhutan, Afghanistan, PNG, Lesotho, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Vietnam, and few more countries participated and prepared food of their native country with full excitement and enthusiasm.

Jambay, a student from Bhutan said “we have made Suja which is a Butter Tea, Shamday, Chicken Dum, and Mushroom Datshi and said, “I love cooking and it's fun to see dishes made by students from other countries as well”. Irakoze Benitha, a student from Burundi said that they prepared Chicken rice, Banana Fries, Potato fries, Mutton Potatoes, and mixed non-vegetarian sauce and said that she cooked her native food after a long time and enjoyed it a lot.

Ahmed Samim, a student from Afghanistan said that they made Kabuli Pulao, Firne, Chicken Gurma, Shir Berenj and two kinds of salads. Thao, a student from Vietnam said that they cooked Fried Chicken, Fried Fish, and Soup. The student from Ethiopia made Doro Wot which is a chicken sauce, Shiro, Injera, Vegetable fries and Steamed Cabbage. The Kenyan Students made Bhajia, Chicken Curry, and Steamed Cabbage & Fried Chicken.

Dr K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said that the food festival would not have completed without the participation of the International students and congratulated the entire team for successfully organizing the fest, he added by saying that fests like these help us to explore the global culture and encourage students to enhance their other skills apart from scoring well in academics. Dr. Kang stressed that PCTE provides global exposure to its students with more than 240 International students from 42 countries studying on campus.
