The Vice-Chancellor of PAU, Ludhiana Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon releases the PAU Magazine at a special function, organised by DSW on the University campus.
Ludhiana, February 20, 2015: The Vice-Chancellor of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon released the PAU Magazine at a special function, organised by the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) on the University campus.
In his remarks, Dr Dhillon lauded the commendable efforts, made by faculty and students in bringing out the PAU Magazine. He said, “It provides a befitting platform to the young minds to showcase their creative skills and brilliance.” Although PAU is a farm varsity, yet it has always made vigorous efforts for all round personality development of the students, he added.
Earlier, while welcoming the chief guest, faculty and the students, Dr Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare, said that magazine offers an opportunity to the students to enhance their writing skills and express their imagination and thoughts.
Dr Jagdish Kaur, Editor-in-Chief of the PAU Magazine, said that this magazine has been brought out under the guidance of DSW, and with the collective effort of the faculty and students.
Dr Sumedha Bhandari, Faculty Editor, English Section, anchored the programme. She informed that students recited poetic verses, presented “haas rass” and mimicry.
Kritika, a representative of Young Writers’ Association, proposed the vote of thanks. On the occasion, the teacher and student editors of the magazine were honoured.
