PAU STUDENT GETS BEST ORAL RESEARCH PAPER AWARD

Ludhiana, January 22, 2018: Dr Jagreeti Gupta, a Ph.D scholar from the Department of Floriculture and Landscaping, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been awarded “Best Oral Research Paper Award” for her research paper entitled “Seasonal variation in electrolyte leakage and relative leaf water content of sub- tropical ornamental tree species under salt stress.” She received the award during the National Symposium on “Recent Advances on Floriculture and Urban Horticulture in Global Perspective (NASRAFUH-18),” held at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV), Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal, on January 4 and 5.

Dr Jagreeti is a recipient of prestigious Prime Minister Fellowship for her doctoral research under the guidance of Dr R.K. Dubey, Assistant Professor of Landscaping. Dr Dubey lauded the PAU student for her achievement.

Congratulating the student, Dr H.S. Grewal, Head, Department of Floriculture and Landscaping, said the studies of salt stress on ornamental tree species is need of the hour.
