Ludhiana, October 28, 2016: Amandeep Kaur, who recently completed M.Sc in Soil Science from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has received ‘Best Poster Presentation Award’ during the ‘81st Annual Convention of Indian Society of Soil Science,’ held at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior from October 20 to 23, 2016. She was awarded for the research paper entitled, ‘Effect of tillage and residue retention practices on soil temperature and wheat yields.’ It has been authored by Amandeep Kaur, Dr Meharban Singh and Dr S.S. Kukal. The research work was conducted under the supervision of Dr Meharban Singh, Senior Extension Specialist (Soil Science), PAU.
Dr Neelam Grewal, Dean, Postgraduate Studies; Dr S. S. Kukal, Additional Director of Research (Natural Resource and Plant Health Management) and Dr B. S. Brar, Head, Department of Soil Science, PAU congratulated the student and his major advisor for the award winning research.
