PAU Invites Applications For Three-Month Training Course

Ludhiana: The Directorate of Extension Education of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has invited applications from the rural youths of Punjab for participation in three-month training course on `Integrated Crop Production’ from August 1 to October 28, 2016.
Giving course details, Dr R.S. Sidhu, Director of Extension Education, said the rural youths in the age group of 20 to 40 with matriculation passed can participate in this course. The participants will be educated about various aspects of agriculture and allied occupations, he added.
The Incharge of the course, Dr T.S. Riar said the interested candidates can obtain application forms from the office of Directorate of Extension Education or Kairon Kisan Ghar (KKG), PAU, Ludhiana. The last date for the receipt of applications is July 28, he informed. The interview will be held onJuly 29 at KKG, PAU at 10.00 a.m, he told, while asking the candidates to bring their matriculation certificate as well as proof of age certificate along with them. The selected candidates will have to deposit a sum of Rs 1,000/- as security, which will be refunded only to the candidates who complete their course successfully, he said. The course fee is Rs 500/- whereas lodging charges are Rs 300/- per month, he informed.
