PAU Holds Training Course On Value Added Products

Ludhiana, October 23, 2015: A two-day training programme on “Value-added Products from Cereals/Food Grains” was jointly conducted by the Directorate of Extension Education and Department of Food Science and Technology at Food Industry Center, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). As many as 11 participants attended the programme.

During the training, experts gave practical demonstrations on technologies needed for preparing extruded products and bakery products. Besides, experts imparted practical training in pasta and multigrain preparations. Participants were exhorted to adopt these processing technologies as subsidiary occupation in order to improve their livelihood. The scientists addressed the queries of the participants and assured them full support in establishment of their small scale units.
