Ludhiana, April 24, 2018: The Directorate of Students’ Welfare of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organized an inter-class games competition for the students of Hostel No.7 of PAU. Competitions in cricket, volleyball, badminton and table tennis games were conducted for a total of 110 M.Sc and Ph.D students of the hostel under the guidance of Dr Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director of Students’ Welfare, PAU.
Dr T.S. Riar, Hostel Warden, said participation in sports is vital to inculcate self-confidence. Students participated energetically in the 10-day competition, he added.
The Chief Warden of the Hostel (Boys), Dr RIS Gill gave away the prizes to the winners. On the occasion, Dr Mahesh Kumar, Warden of Hostel No. 1; Dr Lohan, Warden of Hostel No. 4 and Sh Ravinder Singh were present on the occasion.
