PAU Holds CET Exam, 4902 Students Appear

Ludhiana, June 17, 2015: The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) examination today for admission to various undergraduate programmes of the University.

Giving details, Dr P.K.Khanna, Registrar, PAU said as many as 4902 students appeared for CET for seeking admission to B.Sc Agriculture (Hons.) 4-year, B.Sc Biotech (Hons.) 4-year, B.Tech Food Technology 4-year, B.Sc (Hons.) Home Science 4-year, B.Sc (Hons.) Nutrition and Dietetics 4-year, and 5-year Integrated M.Sc (Hons.) programme in Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology and Zoology. Dr Khanna informed the result of CET will be posted on the university website i.e. www.pau.edu.

Dr N.K. Khullar, Controller of Examination, PAU said “the CET received overwhelming response from the students from across the Punjab state. Against 5417 applications received, 2540 boys and 2362 girls appeared for the test”, he informed. “It indicates that PAU is a favorite destination of the students for receiving education in agriculture and allied fields”, he highlighted. For the smooth conduct of the test, a total of 19 centres were created on the PAU campus and in several private schools of the city. The students are competing for 364 seats, he added.
