PAU College of Home Science to hold convocation on Feb 24

Ludhiana, February 18, 2015: The College of Home Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will hold its Convocation-cum-Prize Distribution Function on February 24 in the Pal Auditorium of the University. Dr B Meenakumari, Deputy Director General (Fisheries), ICAR, New Delhi will deliver the convocation address while Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice Chancellor, PAU, will preside over the function.

Giving details, Dr Jasvinder Kaur Sangha, Dean, College of Home Science (COHS) said that a total of 190 pass outs of B.Sc. Home Science (Hons.) 4-year and 6-year progammes, B. Sc Fashion Designing (Hons.)  and B. Sc Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons.)  programmes during the academic sessions 2011-12 to 2013-14 will be awarded degrees. The students who excelled in academics, co-curricular and sports activities will be conferred with Gold Medals, College Colour, Merit Certificates and prizes, she said. Five students will be awarded Gold Medals and 19 students will be awarded Merit Certificates, she informed.

Dr Sangha called upon the students who graduated during 2011-12 to 2013-14 to be present in the Multimedia Lab of COHS on February 23 at 9.00 a.m. sharp for the identification and at 2.00 p.m. in the Pal Auditorium for rehearsal. The students should reach Pal Auditorium at 12.00 noon sharp on February 24 for the convocation and prize distribution function, she said. Only those students will be allowed to attend the convocation, who will come for identification and rehearsal, she added.
