Patwari and registry clerk nabbed in two different traps in Punjab

Chandigarh, September 9, 2014: The vigilance bureau has intensified its anti corruption campaign. During two different traps laid by the sleuths of vigilance bureau at two different locations, a registry clerk and a patwari were nabbed in graft cases.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the vigilance bureau said that the first trap was laid at district Gurdaspur where a registry clerk Kulwinder Singh deputed at Suwida Kendra, Gurdaspur was nabbed along with his private assistant Joginder pal with the bribe money of Rs. 6,000. Complainant Mr. Lakhbir singh of village Sekhwan, district Gurdaspur has alleged that the registry clerk was demanding bribe of Rs.6, 000 for providing him the true copies of a case.
In second such trap revenue patwari Sukha Singh, posted at revenue area Gulalipur, District Tarn Taran was nabbed alongwith his private assistant Gurbhaj Singh with the bribe money of Rs. 5,000. Patwari was demanding bribe from Gurmukh Singh of village of Gulalipur, District Tarn Taran in lieu of registering the mutation of his hereditary property.
