Ferozepur, February 20, 2014: The patients at civil hospital heaved a sigh of relief after the two day strike, of the doctors and the paramedical staff was finally called off.
Dr Ashutosh, Vice-President of PCMS Doctor Association, Ferozepur informed this correspondent that the strike has been terminated after the doctors and paramedical staff was given an assurance by Dr Hardeep Singh, Assistant Civil Surgeon regarding the pending salaries. Dr Ashutosh informed that they have been given the assurance that the salaries will be deposited with in a day or two.
It is pertinent to mention that the Doctors and Paramedical staff, working at civil hospital have not received their salaries for the last three months. The doctors and paramedical staff were on absolute strike for the last two days and only emergency services were available.
