This is the official statement released by Bhupindejit Singh Virk, Superintendent, Central Jail, Patiala on Friday strongly denying the rumours circulating regarding Balwant Singh Rajoana and affirmed that he was safely lodged in Patiala jail.
Chandigarh / Patiala, March 29, 2013: Bhupindejit Singh Virk, Superintendent, Central Jail, Patiala today strongly denied the rumours circulating regarding Balwant Singh Rajoana and affirmed that he was safely lodged in Patiala jail.
In a signed statement, the Jail Superintendent clarified that Rajoana, who was awarded death sentence was lodged in Patiala jail and warned mischievous elements against spreading the rumours regarding his hanging or transfer to other jail.
He warned that Punjab government would act strongly against anyone spreading rumours.
