Dharamshala, November 14, 2016: Indian pilots captured all first six positions in the 1st four days Indian National Open Accuracy Paragliding competition which concluded on Monday at Billing in Himachal Pradesh.
In men's section, Kamal Kumar stood 1st, Manjit 2nd and Chamel Thakur 3rd.
In women's section, Kannan got the top position ,Roopa 2nd and 15years old Aditi, the youngest competitor got the 3rd spot.
Sudhir Sharma,Urban Development Minister of Himachal Pradesh who was the chief guest of the closing ceremony, gave away the prizes and specially honored Aditi.
107 pilots of 15 countries participated in the inaugural Indian National Open Accuracy Paragliding Championship organised at Bit Billing 60 kms from here from 11 to 14 November. The weather remained absolutely fine for this sport here.
There are 9 women paragliders including 3 Indians in a total of 107 competitors. The foreign female participants include 2 from Russia and reach from South Africa,Italy,Kirghistan and Turkey.
