Jalandhar, September 27, 2019: 5-day Film Appreciation Course going on in Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar is collaboration with Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune entered into day-3 today.
Pankaj Saxena, Alumni FTII, Pune, Filmmaker, Electronic Media Consultant, Television Programmer, Film Academic and Writer taught the aspirants of the course about the major differences between documentaries and films. He said that documentaries are based on the real incidents and characters and on the other hand however inspirational the films may be they are based on imaginations which are given flavors and colours by Script Writer and Director. The students were also enlightened about the various revolutions in art as impressionism, expressionism, cubism, surrealism etc.
Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma opined that she is sure that this course will undoubtedly be beneficial for the students and the paths of film world shall open before them. She was glad to see the enthusiasm of students.
