Counseling for the admission to M.A. (Punjabi) Chandigarh, July 12, 2019: All those candidates, who have applied for admission to MA (Punjabi) 1st Semester, session 2019-2020, are hereby informed that the date of counseling for the admission to M.A. (Punjabi) will be held on 23.7.2019 at 10.00 a.m. in the office of Chairperson. Eligibility for M.A Punjabi 50% in Graduate course with compulsory Punjabi and 45% for SC/ST candidates. Admission will be on merit basis for 68 seats. The 15% weightage will be given to the student those who studied Punjabi as a elective subject at graduate level. The student who studied Hons. Punjabi in graduation also given 15% weightage but those who have elective Punjabi and Hons. (both) will be given 20% weightage. The other weightage will be such as NSS, NCC and any other curricular activities will be given as per grading their certificate maximum upto 5%. All the candidates bring their testimonials at the time of counseling. All those candidates, who will be absent in the first counseling, will not be entertained in the second counseling. *** Counseling for the admission to Diploma in Translation Chandigarh: All those candidates, who have applied for admission to Diploma in Translation (Eng to Pbi) and Certificate Course in Functional Punjabi session 2019-2020, are hereby informed that the date of counseling for the admission to Diploma in Translation (Eng to Pbi) and Certificate Course in Functional Punjabi will be held on 25.7.2019 at 10.00 a.m. in the office of Chairperson. All the candidates bring their testimonials at the time of counseling. All those candidates, who will be absent in the first counseling, will not be entertained in the second counseling. *** Counselling for the admission to Master in Public Health Chandigarh: The Interviews/Counselling for the admission to Master in Public Health (Semester-I) for the session 2019-2020 will be held on 24th July, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. in the Centre for Public Health, Sector-25, South Campus, Panjab University, Chandigarh. All the applicants are advised to bring their downloaded online admission form, original certificates, mark sheets, CET (PG) 2019 Result Card, Gap year Affidavit if any and other relevant documents for verification. Physical presence or attendance is compulsory for every student at the time of counselling. *** B.A B.Ed aptitude test conducted at PU Chandigarh: B.A B.Ed aptitude test was conducted successfully for the admission of first year of B.A. B.Ed. course here today at two centres ; Institute of Educational Technology & Vocational Education and Examination Hall, Panjab University. For the 50 seats of the course, 418 candidates appeared in the exam out of total 860 candidates who applied for it. No untoward incident was reported. Faculty members, non-teaching staff and helping staff were dedicatedly involved in the smooth conduct of the examination. Thirty senior students of B.A. B.Ed. course have performed their duties as volunteers at both the centers and at three main gates of University to help the applicants and their parents. *** Chandigarh: Ten students namely Neha Garg, Prabhjot Kaur, Charan Salwan, Anshul Singhal, Devanshi Janmeja, Shil Khurmi, Dhruv Saini, Komal Garg, Aditi Rao and Sonika cleared the Delhi Judicial Services Examination of 2019. Today they visited the Institute and share their experiences with the students and faculty members. While interaction with the students, they proposed some workshops for the purpose of preparation of competitive examinations. They also motivated the students for their active role in Social Action Litigations and Redressal of disputes by adopting middle man approach. All the students were very enlightened and happy to visit the institute after becoming Metropolitic Magistrates.
