PAIW CORPORATE CRICKET TOURNAMENT: Parekh Group wins

Ludhiana, December 24, 2012: In the finals of PAIW Corporate Cricket Tournament played here today, Parekh Group defeated Jesus Sacred Heart (Staff) by 9 wickets.

In the beginning, Parekh Group won the toss and elected to bowl first. Jesus Sacred Heart (Staff) scored 68 runs in 10 over, with help of 25 runs scored by Babar. Batting second Parekh Group won the match by 9 wickets with the help of brilliant performance by Samardeep. Man of the match: Samardeep (Parekh Group).

Bittu (Parekh Group) was declared Man of the Series.

Earlier, three semi-finals were played today. The first semi-final was played between Jesus Sacred Heart (Staff) and Allahabad Bank. The former won the match by 10 wickets. Allahabad Bank won the toss and elected to Bat first and scored 80 runs in 10 over, with help of 19 runs scored by Bhagat. Batting second Jesus Sacred Heart (Staff) won the match by 10 wickets  Babar and Amritpal bated beautifully , Babar scored 34 run and Amritpal scored 36. Man of the match: Amritpal (Jesus Sacred Heart/ Staff).

 Second semi-final was played between Centax Fabrics and Parekh Group. The latter won the match by 10 wickets. Parekh group won the toss and elected to bowl first. Centax Fabrics scored 51runs in 10 over, Batting second Parekh Group won the match by 10 wickets with the help of brilliant performance by Samardeep and Bittu. Man of the match: Samardeep (Parekh Group).

 The event was managed by Sportz Entertainment Media and Punjab Agro Implements Works were the title Sponsors of the event, Co-sponsor of the events were ERA Jewelers and Monte Carlo.

 Winners were awarded with a PAIW Champions trophy and the cash Price, Runner up Team was awarded with a trophy and the cash Price.  Man of the match was awarded with a trophy from Punjab Agro Implements works and Gift voucher from ERA Jewellers.
