Jalandhar, March 22, 2015: Leadership and self motivation is what sets us apart. Through adventure activities, we encourage students to think out-of-the-box, empower them with skills like leading and working in a team, instill a healthy spirit of competition, some life values, some optimism and enthusiasm that go a long way in their life.

Under the leadership and guidance of Principal S Chauhan, Ivy World School, Jalandhar in association with Adventure Hill Club, New Delhi organized an overnight adventure camp on Saturday in the school campus.

In today’s competitive world every parent dreams to see their child excel in all disciplines and so do we.  The main objective of the camp was to expose each student to experience a situation hands-on, overcome the task challenges by finding their own answers, which perhaps no classroom lecture can alone provide for.

A combination of various adventurous and fun filled games as Rappelling, Zorbing Roller, Artificial Climbing Wall, Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Commando Crawl, Tent Pitching, Double Rope Bridge and other interesting camp games and life skills activities made  their learning experience richer, joyful and rewarding, leaving kids wanting for more.

The adventurous day was followed by bon fire and foot tapping music on the beats of which the students could not resist themselves from dancing. The fun factor continued with an interesting movie next morning which gave an astounding finish to the camp.

Motivation is and has always been an integral component in the long term success of a winner. Staying focused, determined, committed and being the best are fine traits of a champion. The main objective behind the camp was to arouse in students an inner motivation to overcome hurdles in life, to make them understand that everything is possible if the target to be achieved is clear. This camping experience gave an excellent opportunity to the children to experience various challenges and also to overcome those challenges. Students became more independent and were also able to interact with their peers on a very different level.

At Ivy World School, we firmly believe that learning by doing is the best way to teach our students as whatever they experience through this involvement will remain with them throughout their life.
