Over 200 examined at the medical camp organised by CII

Ludhiana, May 17, 2016: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, organised a free health check-up camp on mental well-being, and beauty related diseases at Corporation Office, Zone D, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana, today. The objective of the camp was to bring affordable healthcare to the people and to spread awareness about lifestyle-related diseases which can ruin general health and mental well-being. Over 200 people benefitted from the camp. Ghanshyam Thori, Commissioner for Municipal Corporation, inaugurated the health camp.

Dr Vidushi Malhotra, Dermatologist, Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMC), Ludhiana, said, “Hypertension is one of the most worrisome health issue arising out of sedentary lifestyle. It not only affects our mind but in turn affects the body very seriously.” She also gave suggestions, precautions & remedies for frequently occurring problems related to skin and hair.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Priyanka Kalra, Psychiatrist Deep Hospital, Ludhiana, said, “Recognition is the first step for Stress as it can make existing problems even worse. Reducing your stress levels can not only make you feel better, but may also protect your health in the long run.”

The team of doctors apprised patients on various general health issues related to skin, hair and beauty care. They also advised patients on heath issues related to fat and inch loss, obesity, anti-ageing, skin rejuvenation, etc.

Neeraj Satija, CII Convener CSR Punjab . Mr Satija said, “CII will continue to organise more such health camps for benefit of the people. The next camp will be organised in collaboration with the Police department Ludhiana."

The camp was also attended by CII chairman Ludhiana zonal council Amit Thapar and CII vice chairman Ludhiana Manjinder Singh .
