Outstanding victory over 3 assembly seats are result of public welfare policies of Punjab government: Dewan

Chandigarh, October 26, 2019: Pawan Dewan, chairman of Punjab Large Industrial Development Board and state Congress general secretary congratulated the Congress party as they won 3 out of 4 by-polls in 4 assembly seats in Punjab.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Dewan said that where the party not only retained the Mukerian assembly seat but at the same time won the seat of Jalalabad. Similarly, the party has also performed brilliantly in Phagwara. Although the party suffered defeat in the Dakha Assembly seat, the party's performance has improved dramatically.
He asserted that the party's spectacular performance in the by-election is the result of the public welfare policies of the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. He said that different sections of the society are being benefited through various schemes by the Punjab government. The CM has fulfilled the promises made with the people of the state before the assembly elections, despite the state's bad financial condition.
He also condemned the leaders who campaigned against the CM in front of the party high command despite the party's great performance. He has advised such leaders that instead of doing negative politics, they should support Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh in the development of the state.
