Out of 118, CT University bags 3rd prize in Start-up India Punjab Yatra
Ludhiana, February 7, 2019: CT University has bagged 3rd position in presenting its business idea at Start Up India Punjab Yatra in which total 118 teams participated. This start-up yatra van stopped at 19 different places in Punjab and organised 8 boot camps in which total of 3083 business ideas were registered and screened. Out of which 523 ideas were presented during boot camps. Total 118 ideas were shortlisted for Grand Finale held at ISB Auditorium Mohali. Elaborating about the idea, Dr Amrinder Singh, HOS, School of Management Studies said, “CT University presented total five business ideas at the Boot Camp held at Baddowal, out of which two business ideas NEST 3D & ELCAR got selected and CTU students presented these ideas at grand finale. Business idea NEST 3D bagged 3rd position in the health manufacturing sector. Students were awarded with a cash prize of 20,000/- and told that free incubation space will also be provided at STPI (Software Technology parks of India) Mohali to set-up business.” Jaspreet Singh, Coordinator, Research and Incubation Center, putting light on the business idea said that NEST 3D Providing cheapest Rapid Prototyping Services and Precision industrial quality FDM 3D Printers of variable size. This way it will also enhance the modern technology skills of small scale industry. The winners were Arvin Vinayek - B.Tech. CSE Cyber Security, Sarjodh Singh - B.Tech. CSE Cyber Security, Christamber Trueman - B.Tech. Robotics & Automation and Tarun Reddy - B.tech. ECE. Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor while congratulating the students said, “Such activities bring out the best in students and an exposure in Industrial world. CTU train students to become entrepreneurs and working in Industry oriented world.”
