Orientation Programme Organised At PAU

Ludhiana, August 28, 2015: An orientation course on “Effective Teaching, Research and Extension” was organized by the Department of Home Science Extension and Communication Management, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU).

Dr P. K. Khanna, PAU Registrar, who was the chief guest on this occasion, said the teaching, research and extension are the passion of a person and help in honing the skills to attain perfection. Sensitizing the participants regarding the farm problems and social issues, he appealed to the trainees to contribute vitally in addressing these issues. Later, Dr Khanna gave away the certificates to the participants.

Dr Jatinder Kishtwaria, Dean, College of Home Science and Head of the Department of Home Science Extension and Communication Management, welcomed the chief guest and participants. She highlighted that the College has received a good lot of students in undergraduate programmes during this academic session. She further said the College is focusing on research and extension activities, and planning to develop a resource centre in the adopted village.

Dr Sukhjeet Kaur, Course Director, said that conducting this course was a learning experience for the trainees as well as organizers. Two participants Dr Jagdish Arora and Dr Rajdeep Kaur, while giving the feedback, said that the course was well planned and delivered.
